Tiatros weekly program overview
Tiatros is a scalable mental health and social support platform that combines clinical expertise with peer communities to enable behavioral change and help people live better lives.
Role: Senior Graphic Designer, Scrum Master.
Team: Researchers, Engineers, Product Team.
Context
What?
To design scientifically validated mental health programs that are traditionally presented on paper, and adapt them into an app.
Why?
We wanted users to have access to the best and clinically validated mental health programs, making them easy to use and engaging in a digital format.
How?
By breaking down complex information into manageable steps, we balanced user engagement with the large data provided by the clinical team.
The challenge
-
We aimed to fit a large amount of information, traditionally provided in a doctor's office, into an app without overwhelming users
-
We needed to find a solution that streamlined the content while preserving scientific integrity.
Approach
-
Recurring meetings with the clinical team to balance scientific validation with user engagement.
-
I led daily scrum meetings, as Scrum Master, allowing engineers and designers to align on decisions efficiently.
-
Iterative user testing, conducting usability testing, interviews, A/B testing.
-
We realized that giving users a clear "heads up" about what the program expected from them helped reduce overload and improve engagement.
Solution
-
The Weekly Overview displayed all tasks users had to complete for each week, with visual indicators like "completed" check marks and supporting text.
-
This design helped users manage their progress, set clear expectations, and engage with the content in an order they preferred.
User Experience Wireframes
I collaborated closely with a team of designer and researcher to explore various user experiences. Through wireframe exploration and testing, we refined how users would interact with the program, ensuring a balance between usability and scientific accuracy.
Outcome
Initial user testing yielded positive feedback, with users finding the Weekly Overview clear and easy to navigate. While the product did not launch, the design process and team collaboration resulted in a scalable solution for presenting complex mental health programs in a user-friendly way.
